Big Cookie Dough Scoop of Doom

I broke down and bought a larger cookie dough scoop from Williams-Sonoma. It holds about 1 fluid ounce. (Or two level US tablespoons - approximately 30ml.) It's made in Italy, and is marked with "40" on the side. It was labelled as a "small ice cream scoop".

By contrast, the smaller scoop ("mini ice cream scoop") holds about 2 level teaspoons (10ml), and is marked with "00" on the side.

The smaller scoop made perfect 2" diameter ginger snaps. A dozen per sheet, like clockwork.

The larger scoop makes big honkin' 4"-4.5" diameter chocolate chip cookies. No more than 8 per sheet, please, otherwise you end up with fused cookies. (And 6 per sheet is better.)

Oh, and muffin papers...

The large muffin papers (for the so-called "Texas muffins") flatten out to 6" diameter. The mini muffin papers flatten out to just under 3.25" in diameter. I don't have any normal size muffin liners. Must put them on the shopping list!
