How long is the PATH train ride?

This long:
Granny square 20051221

Yep, I managed to get that amount done on the train. Could have done a bit more, but there were times when I had to hold on, and then someone asked me what I was doing, so I had to stop and show him. I had to. Didn't I?

This square is a sampler of sorts for the next blanket I'm making. It'll be pale yellow and light mint green, 60 squares total (30 of each color) and be assembled using a yarn that looks like an explosion in a hard candy factory. (It will likely be a checkerboard pattern, but that may change.)

My teeny tiny sample:

Current status:
13.75 yellow squares
9 green squares

I really like the look of your top granny square. It's very clean, but it has a touch of pattern to it, which will look great, I should think, when everything's together. I need to learn how to make granny squares. :)

Thank you.
In the other thread, you wrote, "I wish that I could give back in some way, but maybe someday down the road when I'm more experienced, I can repay by helping someone who's new to the yarn."

Likely you will. You already have enough experience to answer basic questions. And as you learn more, you'll be able to share more. In the meantime, enjoy the learning!

If you would like help with making granny squares, let me know. I would be happy to help. I have some basic instructions and want to update/improve the page, so this would be a wonderful incentive. Are you more word-minded (chain 4, join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring) or diagram-minded (4 empty ovals in a ring with a black oval on top of one of them)?

P.S. I took the MBTI in college, and I tested out as ISTP - strongly I, strongly T, weak S and P. And it amuses me to take online tests, since I tend to test either as ISTP or INTJ. Not INTP, not ISTJ. I'm not sure why I flip both the S/N and J/P, but it's pretty constant.
